Jeri Ryan was born to american parents Jeri and Sharon zimmerman in Munich, German. As her father was from military background, she had to keep on moving to differenct military base cities, so Jeri and her brother Mark spent their childhood in cities like Kansas, Meryland, Georgia and Texas. When she was 11, they settled down in Paducah, Kentucky . She was very studious and intelligent and came out from high school as a national merit holder.

Jeri Ryan started going to Northwestern University after that. There to pay her bills she started taking part in beauty contests. She won the Miss Illinois contest in 1989, later She also won swimsuit winner at Miss America and stood at 4th position in 1990 Miss America contest. Jery finished her college around the same time in 1990.

At the same time Jeri Ryan came in touch with Jack Ryan who was a investment banker and future political candidate. They soon fall in love with each other and married in 1991. Now they have one son Alex who was born in 1994. Just after her college when her love was growing with Jack, she started looking for roles in movies and tv shows. Jeri got her first role in “Who’s the Boss?”. Later her career started picking up and she got roles in tv shows like Melrose Place, Matlock, and The Sentinel as well as TV movies such as Co-Ed Call Girl. She played a role in movie Men Cry Bullets but a big break came when Jeri ryan got the lead role in movie “The last Man”.

Next big break came for Jeri Ryan when she got the role of Juliet Stuart on the TV show Dark Skies. This show gave her good recognition in science community. In 1997, she also played Seven of Nine, a Borg drone freed from the collective on the science fiction series Star Trek: Voyager . These were the days when her career was on fire and her fan base started increasing exponentially.

Amid of these bright days, Personal life of Jeri Ryan was getting darker and she had to divorce her husband Jack in 1999. After Voyager, she joined Boston Public in which she is playing the role of a lawyer. She acted in two movies Down with love and Boston legal. Currently she is also playing a role in CBS legal drama Shark.

Jeri Ryan is fond of delicious food and she has opened a restaurant Ortolan in Los Angeles. Jeri’s boyfrined and fiancee Emi is her partner in this restaurant.
